Alice in Our Place Scavenger Hunt

OPEN

  • There are 11 clues leading to 11 locations around the district. Solve the clue to get to the location.
  • When you get there, you’ll find an Alice in Our Place sign. Complete the challenge listed on the sign and be in to win some awesome prizes.
  • You can do as many or as few challenges as you want, but to go into the draw you must submit at least one completed photo challenge.
  • All challenge photos on social media must be tagged #aliceinourplace and uploaded by 5pm Friday 30 April.
  • You can also enter the draw
    • by answering all the questions online, or
    • all the questions on the hard copy map
  • Return it to our council offices/libraries  or email it to info@hauraki-dc.govt.nz by 5pm Friday 30 April 2021.
  • By entering this competition, you accept the terms and conditions of this competition.
Entries
  • All entries must be received between 9am Friday 2 April and 5pm Friday 30 April.
  • This competition is open to rate payers and residents of Hauraki District.
  • You can complete and enter as many or as few challenges as you want. Each challenge photo that you tag us in will count as one entry. Tag us on Facebook and Instagram #aliceinourplace
  • You can complete the questions on the Trail Map/online if you prefer not to submit photos.
Prizes:
  • All entries will go in the draw to win a first prize of a Raleigh bicycle and bike helmet.
  • Other prizes include AirPods, kids’ activity packs and a Fitbit.
  • The first entry drawn will win the bike package. All winners will be drawn by Mayor Toby Adams.
  • Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
  • If a prize or part prize becomes unavailable (for any reason), Hauraki District Council reserves the right to limit entry, cancel or amend prizes at its own and sole discretion, including providing the winner with a substitute prize, either in full or in part.
  • Prizes must be collected from a Hauraki District Council office.
  • We will announce the winners by Wednesday 14 May 2021.
  • We reserve the right to choose another winner if we are unable to contact you by 21 May 2021.
  • Hauraki District Council’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Privacy:
  • All entrants consent to images being used in any Council deemed online or hard copy publication.
  • Entry forms will not be returned. All information provided by the entrants will be collected, used, stored, disclosed and corrected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. All entrants have the right to access their information and for any personal information to be corrected.
Exclusions:
  1. The following persons are not eligible to win any prize:
    1. Anyone not a resident or ratepayer of the Hauraki District at the time of the prize draw.
    2. Anyone who works for Hauraki District Council or any Council-controlled organisations, their immediate family members or any agencies or companies associated with the Competition or Giveaway.
  2. Hauraki District Council reserves the right to exclude any entrant from participating at its sole discretion. Hauraki District Council also reserves the right to refuse to award a prize to an entrant who is in breach of these Terms and Conditions, gained an unfair advantage in participating or won by using fraudulent means.
  3. Hauraki District Council will not be liable for any loss, damage, costs (for instance incurred in accepting or redeeming a prize) or any injury whatsoever suffered by an entrant as a result of or in connection with the Competition or Giveaway, including any inability to enter, complete or continue the competition or giveaway due to equipment or technical malfunction.
  4. Hauraki District Council reserves the right to amend or change these Terms and Conditions at any time at its sole discretion, including extending, postponing or cancelling the Competition or Giveaway.
  5. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts.
