Hey, we need to talk about dog exercise areas in our district.
We’re reviewing our off-leash areas and we wanted to know what you think.
The survey closed at 5pm Sunday 17 January. Thanks for telling us what you think. The winners of the fabulous Pamper Pack for your pooch, Marion and Katrina, have now been notified.
We’ll use your feedback in our upcoming review of our Dog Control Policy and Bylaw. Look out for your opportunity to tell us what you think about that too – from 12 February to 12 March 2021.
Do the puppa-razzi love taking pictures of your pooch? We’re looking for Hauraki’s Next Top Dog to become the face of dog news in our district. Did you send us a shot of your pooch to be in the running to be Hauraki’s Next Top Dog? Entries are now closed.
Firstly, can we just say it was the hardest choice ever – every entry was adorable! Thanks to all our enthusiastic parents of pooches for sharing them with us but there can only be one winner.
The title of Hauraki’s Next Top Dog goes to the lovable bear of a mountain dog from the Hauraki Plains – NICO! Congratulations Nico, we’ll be in touch to arrange your prize pack and photo shoot!
Here are the top 10 finalists for Hauraki’s Next Top Dog! A winner will be announced on Friday 22 January picked by Mayor Toby Adams.
It was no easy choice narrowing down our finalists (shown in no particular order) as our district is full of furry friends with lots of puppa-razzi potential. We loved them all! (Click on an image to enlarge.)
If you’ve spotted your pooch in the top 10, please keep an eye out for a message from us (via the way you entered i.e Instagram, Facebook, Email) as we have a few quick questions to make sure we have all the information we need to pick and notify a winner.
