Rubbish and recycling rules
We’re reviewing our rules around our kerbside rubbish collection, and our transfer stations.
About our proposed bylaw | Ngā kaupapa o ngā ture
We’ve clarified the current rule that says you can only put waste items in the specified containers.
We’ve also clarified that no one should cause a nuisance by gathering or storing waste, and that you can’t overload your collection bins.
We’ve removed some requirements around operators to be licensed by the Council and also removed rules about damage to our transfer stations.
We’re proposing to remove the Waste Bylaw that applies only to the Kaiaua, Pūkorokoro / Miranda areas that were part of the Franklin District in the past.
