Rubbish and recycling rules

We’ve reviewed our rules around our kerbside rubbish collection, and our transfer stations.

You told us what you think  | Kua kōrero mai koe ōu whakaaro, tēnā rawa atu koe

After listening to your views, we’ve added rules about putting your rubbish and recycling in the right bins, stockpiling rubbish, and using someone else’s rubbish or recycling bins

Things we’ll address a bit further down the track

We received some feedback on things we’re planning to address in the future, including changing our glass recycling bins from 60 litre crates to 45 litre crates. We’ll look into that next year.

Our Solid Waste Bylaw was approved on 14 August 2019 and will be in effect from 1 September 2019.
